Florida's Bronson Motor Speedway Joins ASA Member Track Program
By Kyle Larson Public Relations
Becoming the first race track in
Florida to join the growing American Speed Association Member Track program, Bronson (Fla.) Motor Speedway, owned by ASA National Tour competitor Mike Cope, has formed an agreement for the 2004 season.
"The ASA
Member Track program is a solid program that gives credibility to our race track and drivers," said Bronson Motor Speedway owner Mike Cope. "ASA affiliation makes it easier for our track and competitors to receive
corporate involvement. It gives everyone involved in this speedway something to get excited about for the 2004 season."
Cope has made 39 starts in the ASA National Tour since his series debut at Ohio's Toledo
Speedway in July, 2000. He has recorded career best finishes of second on three occasions at The Milwaukee Mile, Winchester Speedway and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The Florida racer started 11 events in 2003,
posting one-top five finish and four top 10s.
Bronson Motor Speedway is in the northern part of the Sunshine State, exactly 15 miles Southwest of Gainesville. The track is a high-banked, .375-mile asphalt oval
and has been remodeled. The facility hosts some of the most exciting competition in the region every Saturday night at 7 p.m. from February until November. Featured divisions include the awesome power of Open Wheel
Modifieds, Late Model Stock Cars, Sportsman, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks and the newly created Figure Eights, Enduros and 4-Cylinder Bomber classes.
The ASA Member Track program is designed for weekly short track
venues to make available many of the policies, principles, procedures and components that have made the American Speed Association a premier short track sanctioning body for 36 years.
Participating tracks receive
contributions to their year-end points fund, marketing opportunities, and join a small, select group of elite tracks displaying the ASA Member Track logo.
ASA Member Tracks showcase exciting competition with
their local racing programs, providing training grounds for the ASA Racing stars of tomorrow. Through the ASA Member Track program, "We Build Champions. "
The American Speed Association offers racing on three
levels: ASA National Tour, ASA Late Model Series and through the rapidly expanding ASA Member Track program.
